Creativity has its own timing. I’ve been trying to get started writing a book that I’ve been thinking about for years. I’ve made some effort but the book hasn’t really taken shape. I haven’t figured out how to get into it. I’m putting down ideas but I can’t tell what it’s really about.
Approaching an important deadline
This is a critical week for my home studio. I’ve wanted for a long time to start teaching a Suzuki group class and find performing opportunities for my more advanced students. Both are coming to fruition this week. There are a lot of details to attend to.
Brilliant ideas have landed
I’m thinking why now? Why not when I had more time in my schedule? This morning I woke up with the opening sentence of my book and the real point to the book. I was also flooded with design ideas about my home decor. I visited the MFA in Boston yesterday and spent the day with an extremely creative friend. We spent the four hours in the car talking about relationships, art, politics and food.
