Not an ideal holiday

Holiday blues
A church job I’ve had for about a decade has come to an end which is among many financial changes I’ve undergone this year. It could be easy for my money woes to get lumped into general holiday blues. I’m determined to not let myself fall into this hole. There is always a solution with new opportunities to be revealed.

Taking the advice of this card
I’m offering my playing services to a local church where I have taught a couple of Suzuki group classes this fall. I’m also organizing a Christmas Eve gathering for my 92 year old mother which may end up being just the two of us. Both are opportunities to get out the door, help someone else and not obsess about my own situation.

“Oh, poor me!”
Rather than getting caught up in how I’m not having a picture perfect holiday, I’m trying service instead. There is a lot of suffering in the world. I have the gift of being able to play music. I also have the gift of good health and time on my hands. I’m going to use both!
