Rest Meditate Imagine

It is nearly impossible to make wise decisions when extremely tired and near exhaustion. I become hyper-reactive. The slightest negative bit of news or comment from friend or family gets blown out of proportion. I immediately feel as if I need to come up with a plan of action, likely to make things much worse rather than better.

I try, but my “monkey” brain quickly seeps in and meditating seems like another form of work. There must be something better to do such as binge-watching. But after some much-needed rest, I’m able to reach those alpha and theta waves more easily and stay there longer. I start to feel myself travel back into my creative mind.

This is where the solutions are, where the magic happens. It is a place of solving problems from the higher self. It is the place where great works of art are created. Luckily back in the chaos, I had a sense that this place existed. I just need to find it again. I need to follow this path.
