Work, work, work. Practice, practice, practice. Rest, rest, rest. After a very busy five or six weeks, I can finally get some rest. Undone chores at home call to me. A broader view of my life is now coming into focus. I can start thinking about the future.
I get distracted by daily dramas. A whirlwind spins me around so that I barely know which end is up. I know that if I don’t have enough downtime and I’m not getting enough rest, my physical and mental health will be affected. However, not as apparent is that being crazy busy all the time keeps my life stuck in one place.
Taking a break is necessary to clear the way for moving forward in life. Since adulthood I have looked at my life and career as a huge creative project. Is this a normal human attribute? There is a new direction I would like to pursue in life. There are places I want to go and people I want to meet. But first, I need to get some rest!
