Solo Violin Recitals

I am available to perform solo recitals either in a concert hall setting or in a private residence. I have performed solo violin music for artists’ concert series (see My Story), private home recitals, and charitable benefits. I am available to perform with other instrumentalists such as pianists and chamber music ensembles. Most of the pieces on the recital repertoire list are for violin and piano but there are also pieces for unaccompanied violin and chamber pieces with woodwind instruments, voice, and/or other string instruments.

Please use the solo recital repertoire list as a guide. There are many pieces to choose from and assistance is available. Availability of a concert quality piano should also be considered when choosing repertoire for your program. A grand piano that is regularly maintained by a professional piano tuner is preferred.

Stringing Words Together

Joan and Linda

Stringing Words Together is a joyful weaving back and forth of classical music and poetry in which poet Joan Kantor and violinist Linda Beers passionately share their vision of how the arts are meant to enhance one another. In their programs, the violin music and poetry play off of one another, creating a rich integrated experience of the arts.

Joan and I have been performing together since 2013. We have performed at the New Britain Museum of American Art, Avon Free Library, Hartford Open Studios, Simsbury Public Library, Artspace Hartford, Real Art Ways, and RJ Julia Booksellers in Madison, CT. Each program is different because we play and read to specific art pieces.
